Byron Bay Photographer FAQ’s
As a Byron Bay photographer, I’m flexible with location options. I can shoot at any of Byron Bay’s stunning beaches, but my favourite spot is Suffolk Park Beach, which leads up to Broken Head Point. Suffolk Park Beach is a quieter, more secluded beach compared to the more crowded spots in town, and the parking is far more convenient. It’s a beautiful open beach, ideal for both sunrise and sunset shoots, providing a perfect backdrop for your photos.
As your Byron Bay photographer, I closely monitor the weather leading up to your shoot. If it looks like rain, I’ll communicate your options: we can either reschedule to a nearby date that works for both of us or move the session to an undercover location to ensure the weather doesn’t spoil your shoot.
Absolutely! I love capturing the dynamic energy of large family photoshoots. However, since they take more time and coordination, I recommend booking my full Byron Bay photography package instead of the express shoot to ensure we have ample time for everyone.
Yes, part of my job as your Byron Bay photographer is to provide full creative direction. I will guide you and your family through poses and positioning, making sure you feel comfortable. I’m also open to any ideas you have, so don’t hesitate to share your vision for the shoot!
I recommend soft, neutral tones or pastels for a classic and timeless look. These colours also blend beautifully with Byron Bay’s natural surroundings. If you need more guidance, I have the following style guides to help you choose the perfect outfits.

The length of the shoot depends on the package you choose. My express shoot takes around 30 minutes, while the full session lasts between 45 minutes to an hour. For larger family groups or more complex shoots, I recommend opting for the longer session to allow enough time.
I provide high-resolution digital files with unlimited usage rights, giving you full flexibility to use your images as you wish. After your photoshoot, you’ll receive an email notifying you that your images are ready. Inside, you’ll find a link to a private, secure online gallery where you can easily access and download your high-resolution images. Additionally, if you’d like professional-quality prints, you can order them through trusted platforms like Vistaprint or your preferred print provider, ensuring your memories are beautifully preserved in print.
Unfortunately no, as most of Byron Bay’s beaches back onto National Park where dogs & cats are not allowed.
It’s best to book your session as early as possible, especially if you want to secure a spot for peak times like weekends or sunset sessions. I recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance, but feel free to reach out to check last-minute availability.
Booking your session is easy. Simply visit the contact page on my website, fill out the booking form, and I’ll get in touch with you to confirm the details. As your Byron Bay photographer, I look forward to capturing your special moments!
